Welcome to the 21st century, the era of Tik Toks, women empowerment, and of course Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Industries everywhere have started dipping their toe in AI from customer services, to automotive and retail to education. Just the other day, I was trying to reschedule my Air Asia ticket, and all I had to do what talk to AVA (Air Asia’s AI chatbot) and she got the job done in minutes. There was no annoying hold music or “ please press 1” for this and that.
While AI is playing the field all around us, I always thought that if there is one field AI could not completely take over, it was product management. Because although numbers matter here, it still requires emotional human interference to make the right decisions.
But turns out, AI is slowly crawling its way to product management as well and is even able to do the things we thought only PMs could do.

Karapet Gyumjibashyan, Director of Product at Krisp, wrote on his Linkedin page about how he asked an AI model to create a PRD for a new product feature and it delivered! This is how it went.
Karapet to the AI model: "Write a PRD of a meeting notes feature on the Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS platforms that have the following qualities- private, unlimited, and free"
Here is what the AI model generated:

While it did not have the human touch, it is still impressive that an AI model could deliver this. This is obviously still a work in progress and has a long way to go before PMs can tick this off their checklist.
Two amazing ways AI could make product teams work more efficiently!
1. Improves useability testing
Integrating AI into testing your prototype will not only make software testers’ jobs simpler but also save manual testers numerous hours your team would spend testing apps.
AI can also be used to have daily communications with your users which would otherwise cost a PM a lot of time.
Designers also benefit from AI integration as AI can easily convert UI designs into editable HTML markup codes.
2. Helps you write product specs
AI algorithm helps you write detailed product specifications catering to many use cases. From a single design button, AI can intelligently produce numerous use cases which can later be confirmed by a PM. When AI tools are frequently exposed to frequently product specs or user persona, you can automatically generate high-quality and detailed product specifications without any effort.

In other news…Twitter’s alternative app, Hive had to temporarily shut down!
In response to a number of security vulnerabilities that allowed attackers to access all data including private posts, messages, and deleted conversations, Hive had to completely shut down its servers till they fixed all these concerns. These vulnerabilities were first noticed by a couple of German researchers who discreetly raised them directly to the company.
A few days later, Hive replied saying these issues were taken care of but when the researchers checked again, the issues they mentioned remained unresolved. That’s when they decided to take this to the public and warn people about using Hive. Shortly after, Hive announced it was temporarily shutting down its servers to address these problems.
It goes to show that the company lacked workflow and the code was probably so bad that they had to shut done completely to rework it.

Doja Cat released the world’s first-ever codable music video!
This next one isn’t recent news but I thought it was worthwhile to bring it up again. Sometime around this time last year, Doja Cat released the world’s first-ever codable music video featuring her hit song “Woman”.
The idea was to empower girls to learn how to code in a really fun and cool way. Doja Cat teamed with the non-profit organization Girls Who Code to release the first-ever codable music video as part of an effort to get more women and girls interested in programming.

Tarika Barrett, CEO of Girls Who Code said “We know firsthand that girls and young women are some of today’s most powerful creators and change-makers. However, too few know that they can have a career in computer science and that it can open up an entire future of possibility to nurturing their passions.”
